Helmets are required for all tours and rentals! You are welcome to bring your own or borrow one of our clean, used helmets.
Changing a Tour You Have Already Reserved
If you wish to change the date, time or type of tour you have already
reserved online, you may do so by calling Gettysbike at (717) 752-7752.
Changes cannot be made online. We will attempt to make the change
depending on availability. If there is a difference in cost, we
will refund the difference or you will pay the difference when you
arrive the day of the tour.
All cancellations must be done over the phone! We want to be considerate of both our guides and our guests, so we have implemented the following cancellation policy: We are able to give full refunds as long as we have at least 48 hours’ notice. There is no refund for cancellations with less than 48 hours notice! For cancellations due to weather see the section below.
CANCELLATION / RESCHEDULING POLICY
**ALL CANCELLATIONS OR RESCHEDULES MUST BE DONE BY PHONE/VOICEMAIL!**
We want to be considerate of both our guides and our guests, so we have implemented the following policy:
We are able to give full refunds (minus a $10 fee) as long as we have at least 48 hours’ notice.
RESCHEDULING must also be done at least 48 hours out from original tour date/time but is at the mercy of the existing schedule. Rescheduling is not always a possibility.
Please note: We do not force our guides to go out in bad weather. Many of our guides will still run tours, but not all do. Most guides don’t cancel for rain, but we watch the radar at the shop and call the guide if a thunderstorm is coming. At that time, the group will look for shelter until it passes or return to the shop, depending on length and severity of the storm. If your guide cancels or shortens the tour, you will receive a full or pro-rated refund.
Arrive at least 30 minutes before the scheduled time of the tour!
Before starting the tour, we need you to sign a waiver form, fit
you on a bike, and give you a chance to get used to your bike. It
is important that we start the tours on schedule; therefore, we
require that you arrive at least 30 minutes prior to scheduled departure
Leave at least 30 extra minutes in your schedule in case the tour goes long!
We strive to finish the tours on time. However, because of variances
in such matters as traffic, riding pace and questions, and because
of unforeseen circumstances such as flat tires, some tours might
run up to an additional 30 minutes longer. Try not to plan another
event too soon after the conclusion of the tour. If you do have
something else planned in a tight schedule, make sure you tell your
guide at the beginning of the tour.
